Fear of public speaking

A person goes up at the podium to do a presentation. Even before he starts speaking his heart starts to beat and his mouth gets dry. He feels slightly nauseous. Once the person starts talking, the heart keeps beating rapidly and the person hears his Voice trembles. The whole body starts shaking. He keeps on stammering and stuttering and prays to God for a quick end to his presentation.’
This is actually a common scenario we see everyday whenever people have to speak before others. By understanding the common scenario, I propose to inspect on Glossophobia (fear of public speaking). “Glossophobia”, the fear of speaking in public is rated as only second to the fear of snakes and before the fear of dying. Symptoms include intense anxiety prior to or simply at the thought of having to verbally communicate with any group, avoidance of events which focus the group's attention on individuals in attendance, and may even include physical distress, nausea, or feelings of panic in such circumstances.  You may also have shortness of breath, a shaky voice, rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, dry mouth, inability to think clearly, a feeling of loss of control, blushing, stuttering, trembling and sudden sweating.  Many people report stress-induced speech disorders that are only present during public speech.
In business, the cost is incalculable. Imagine missed business opportunities, being passed over for promotion, being reluctant to attend meetings or verbally report on your activities because you suffer from Glossophobia.

Attitudes of older adults towards using modern technology

Now we live in the world of science and technology. It is a world that man has renewed and enriched with the contribution of science and technology for hundreds of years. There is not a single day of our life which is not indebted to science and technology. All modern technology has made our daily life comfortable and easier. Now, everybody can enjoy their life to the full. Both old and young adults use technology in their daily lives.
Technology is becoming imperative to function in modern day society because it is pervasive across all domains of life. Moreover, technology can facilitate everyday tasks enabling older adults to remain independent longer. Over 90% of adults over the age of 65 live independently (U.S. Census Bureau, 2000), and most of the older population prefers to remain in their own homes as long as they are able. Technology can support many home-based tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and yard maintenance. In addition, technology items such as cell phones and medical alert systems can be life saving when in need of immediate help. Older adults do recognize the potential of technology to facilitate independence.

Technology also has the potential to assist in monitoring and maintaining health as well as managing health conditions and diseases. Older adults may particularly benefit from using health technologies given that the likelihood of having a disability or health condition increases with age.
The rapid growth of the elderly population and increase in life expectancy have led to new models of positive ageing where older adults are being empowered to lead fulfilling lives and adapt to degenerative changes to maintain functionality, autonomy and quality of life.

Technology can enable older people to renew or develop social contacts and actively engage in their communities. It can help prevent older people from becoming socially isolated and lonely because of life changes including retirement, bereavement, a deterioration in health. And it can help those who are socially isolated escape their situation.

Computers have the potential to support older adults in a number of ways such as helping them stay connected to the world through news websites and with family and friends through email, as well as by providing memory supports and education opportunities. For interface and software designers make computers usable and useful for older users they must have an understanding of those users’ needs and preferences related to their current use of computers.
Computer experience has been found to be associated with the elderly attitudes toward computers. In a quasi-experimental study, Danowski and Sacks (1980) found that respondents reported more positive attitudes toward computers after being exposed to them. Krauss and Hoyer (1984) examined the attitudes of older men and women with computer experience. They found that older men in particular with more positive attitudes than individuals with less experience. Moreover, older adults with higher levels of income and education also have been found to possess more favorable attitudes toward personal computers.

Women rights and deprivation in Bangladesh.

Wife: why you are biting me? What I have done? Did I anything wrong? I did not. (Crying)

Husband: why? I will not bite you? Tell me the reasons. Have you brought 10,000 Taka from your parents?  They had promised me to give 10,000 Taka within one month of our marriage. Where are they now?  They have run away and hidden themselves not to provide me the money. Why I will consider you as my wife? But you also could not provide me the money in sixth months after marriage. I have no intention to put a wife who can not provide me dowry. Get out of my home now… (Husband kicked her wife strongly)

There is a phrase --whatever the world gained, half is done by men and half is by women. The universal truth indicates the contribution of women in the entire development. But in all cases, women are not meeting their human rights properly. The gaining amount is less than their deprivation. From birth to death, women are facing discrimination and violence at the hands of the society, the state and the family.  Catching feature is women are now against the violence and struggling against deprivation to gain their rights in indeed. To be efficient and successful, women are struggling with unfavorable situation created by nature and society. They are going out of home to get a new era of being self depend and to make her efficient in possible approaches and sectors.

The scenery is not finished here. Women are struggling but most are not being able to reach their destiny. They are not getting proper treats in every perspective. But they could not enhance their power and ability in every perspective of life. Such as, girls who are getting opportunities to be educated, most are not allowed to have a job after completing study. In verse, working women are facing troubles from both their family and workplace perspectives. And the rural women have no bounds to their miseries. They are facing dowry problem, early marriages, eve teasing, acid terrorism, divorced and negligible life, various health problems etc.

Somewhere women are suffering; and somewhere women are struggling and fighting against deprivation. Women who are trying to change the evil status of survivors are also facing lots of social problems.  Basically, society and culture are responsible for deprivation. Women Is the part its entire economic growth. Moreover, they are presenting better performance than men do in some cases. Having equal rights they are till depriving. The development process has started. But till now women are depriving from their demands. Social awareness of Bangladeshi society needs to rise.

Before 36years, women were not so out of home right now. But present environment is pretty different. Today’s women are not only for reproduction and traditional housewives activities but also for individual identity and social developments prosperity. Now-a-days, women are working in corporate sector, education and administration department, medical and health development activities and features, national security services etc.; those were out of imagination before thirty sixth years. Girls are regular in school with different creative productivity. But all girls of Bangladesh are not going to school till now though the number of given facilities are growing high. All educated women are not getting adequate opportunities and support from their family to work outside in challenging environment. Working women are facing several problems in their working sector which deprives from their basic human rights.

There is common myth about women rule in society; an original sin story in which Eve leads Adam off target by making him eats from the forbidden apple. That’s the way to show the rule of women which has been set from ancient times; a woman must keep under a restriction like a wild animal, she must be controlled and shaped so that she can be useful and productive. If woman is out of the restrictions, she will definitely take her man into the darkest path and destroy him and herself. This common myth is running in our society till now which causes deprivation of rights or victims of violence.

Want to be beautiful or handsome, but don’t want to work hard? Just follow 3 things.

Who doesn’t want to be looking nice? But we are so busy nowadays to give time for beauty, or we are just so lazy to work on it. But don’t worry. You can just follow these three tips or just start with any one of them and see the difference. Before following these tips grab a camera and take a picture of yours. And now start with any of the following.
Drink Water:
Drink at least 8 glasses of pure water in a day. As much as you drink water, it will show the effect on your face. Don’t step backward to drink 1 glass in every 15 minutes also.  You can put a 2 litter bottle near you. So you don’t feel lazy to go somewhere and drink or your unconcern mind cannot say that “I don’t have time to drink water”

Keep yourself clean:
Wash your face whenever you come from outside. Make it clean properly first then take a rest. Don’t let you have a rest first and then go to the washroom. Try to protect your face from dart, pollution and sunlight and have a nice bath after coming home. Or if you don’t care much about whole body but face, wash it and put cream that suits you.
Keep your stomach clean:
These days we are eating so much fast food and so many things not so good for health. Don’t worry; just keep your stomach clean. Don’t have disease like food poisoning. You can take wheat bran or oat bran daily. It contains only fibers which help you to have a cold stomach.

Now grab your camera again and take another photo and compare with previous one, you will see the difference. :)))))))))))

Cox’s Bazar and make it into a popular tourist destination

The topic of my article is how to improve Cox’s Bazar and make it into a popular tourist destination within one year, while keeping to budgetary constraints. I have chosen this topic because I want to see how the improvement of Cox’s Bazar can help revive the tourism industry of our country and give a boost to our economy.
I have concentrated on Cox’s Bazar because it has some unique traits. Not the least of which is the fact that it is considered to be the longest unbroken sea beach in the world at a breathtaking unbroken length of about 125 km. It was voted one of the Seven new wonders of the world. These factors make this the most attractive tourist spot in Bangladesh and also the one with the most potential. Our country’s financial base is not strong. So, when there are world renowned natural wonders lying stagnant in our backyard, we should try to fully utilize it.
There are countries which have used tourism to revitalize their economy and make themselves known. These include, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand among others. These countries were not that developed before they invested in their tourism sector, and now they have become tourist hubs which are known throughout the world. This has done wonders for their economy. My belief is that the same can be done by Bangladesh.
Leisure spots and holiday destinations are very important to a country. It boosts the moral of the people who otherwise could not have gone abroad for vacation. Hence, the development of Cox’s Bazar should be a high national priority. It would also increase the publicity of Bangladesh around the world which would mean that we would have a presence in the world stage.

Playing a violent video game causes violent behavior in young people is a very important issue

The issue of whether playing a violent video game causes violent behavior in young people is a very important issue and it is often addressed in media debates about violence in society. The criminal activities are increasing day by day and people think that one of the reasons behind this is playing the violent video games, but I think it is not the case.
There are many researches done on this topic, from which does provide any clear evidence among the relationship between aggressive behavior and violent video games.
In my article, I shall try to find out that the positive effects violent video games provide. I shall also try to find out that the actual impact of violent video games on the video gamers. With the help of my sample, I am going to prove that violent video games can provide many necessary things and violent video games are not always violent.

The debate between violent video games and violence / aggressive behavior is not a new phenomenon. Most of the people without any confirmation think violent video games cause violent behavior. This debate is one of the most talked of the topics now, but evidence shows that the relationship between violent behavior and playing violent video games is very little and most of the times people tend do violence because of some external factors. Studies show that people play violent video games only for fun.

Although, violent behavior is linked with playing violent video games, but people / students can do violence for some other external reasons. Anne and Walling (2002) observed that although violent behavior is linked with playing violent video games but many other factors like family disruption, parental abuse or neglect can cause youth violence and delinquency. According to Benjamin Radford (2008) observation, if violent entertainment caused real violence, logic would dictate that the violent crime rate would have skyrocketed in recent years because the rate of violent video gamers is pretty high.

Jaywalking Vs. Driver's fault...who is the main culprit for road accidents???

Now-a- days we see many road accidents , where people are losing their lives and this is
because of  “ Jaywalking” or “ Drivers’ fault” but the thing is today the death toll from street accidents are increasing day by day. Some people think that the accidents occurring in the driver’s fault others think that the accidents are only for jaywalking. Jaywalking refers to illegal or reckless pedestrian crossing of a roadway.

. Examples include a pedestrian crossing between intersections (outside or, in some jurisdictions, also inside a marked or unmarked crosswalk e.g. Zebra Crossing) without yielding to drivers and starting to cross a crosswalk at a signalized intersection without waiting for a permissive indication to be displayed, and these types of reckless walking causes sometimes accidents in the streets/ roads. On the other hand , there are many causes of accidents where drivers’ are not experienced about driving e.g. many drivers do not have any driving license but they are driving cars. Or the accidents occur because of lack of car maintenance.

This aticle investigates the real causes behind not knowing the traffic rules and causes behind jaywalking and accidents which are like – vehicle hits a pedestrian.
Understanding the danger of jaywalking and Drivers’ fault in roads is, therefore , important for both pedestrians and drivers. I believe my paper to be a background report for both these audiences and hope that my research will help readers to recognize the problem and take action/ safeguards to solve it.
